So I'm one of the blessed whose Hammer has a hollow, one-piece plastic frame. This isn't very conducive to bottom-lining the marker so I've been looking into a new trigger frame. It seems like a Phantom or Trracer frame is a direct bolt-on, but has anyone tried modifying a standard Spyder frame to work? I believe the bolt holes line up but the sear position might be off?

I went through this recently. The Sypder trigger frames DO NOT line up. I tried three different ones. You can get one of these that inserts into your plastic grip Misc Lone Star / M-16 Bottomline blocks - ASAs - Air / Bottomlines, ASP Online Store: CCI M-16 Mounting Block Or you can get any Phantom compatible grip ASP Online Store: CCI Phantom Grip Frame but they have the sweep (easily remedied with a piece of hard plastic) A very nice grip that has the flat (non-upswept) bottom but seems to be out of stock is ASP Online Store: CCI Phantom Grip Frame I got one of each, like them all, and use them alternating. |

Nope. Some Hammers have grip frames that are not two pieces (like mine); the handle and trigger frame are a single piece of molded plastic, complete with fake, molded-in screws for the grips.
