here is my attempt at a low pressure hammer but seeing as i don't have a machine shop to create the parts i need i had to do what i could with the stock parts. here it is right now shooting 275-280 fps at 470-480 psi. it was shooting in the 250's at 400 psi so i am sure with a little playing with the springs i could get the operating pressure down. spyder freak barrel, stock WGP reg. ![]() mounted an automag vertical asa and had to drill through the top to gain access to the front frame mounting area. recessed the screw so it doesn't hit the bolt. not to bad of a job. i think my point of aim is now off since it shoots 6" to the right now. ![]() ![]() valve work consisted of taking some of the lip on the powertube retaining bolt off so the powertube has more room to flow air and maybe get it to stay open a little longer. i could probably even get it flush with the threads on the powertube retainer like i did on my brother's old trracer. ![]() it's a little farty right now and not too terribly quiet but better than stock with a brass lined non ported barrel.

Nicely done! Do you have a number on shots before and after?

my old one with a bucket changer on the back would almost empty a winchester hopper. i pretty much run all mine now off HPA so 12 grams are out. i could probably through one on there but i want to get the farting eliminated first.

You sir, have caught my attention. I've been looking for a way to put a clean vertical asa on a hammer.

this was a pretty easy way. i found a guage to use on my rear bottle adapter that another member on here made. it screws into the rear bottle and has two ports, one for the hose fitting and another for a guage. now i can see what pressure this thing is running on now that i have some air to test with. you have to file the top of the automag vertical asa to accept the wider frame of the hammer.

Sorry to necro - what fitting did you use on the rear? I was looking at doing something similar but couldn't figure out how to make macro do the 90-degree turn to enter the rear adapter. I'm assuming a 90* macro fitting into a 90* elbow won't clear the body...

i have a different fitting on there now that lets me put a guage on the other side. r-lad made it for me. here is the thread with a pic of it. Low Pressure Empire Trracer originally i used one of the square looking 90* adaptors with a 90* macro fitting and it cleared the body fine. just wasn't very clean looking.

was about $20 from r-lad. works great and i can monitor my pressure to see if it is still lower pressure than stock. sitting a little higher than 500 psi but atleast it is not breaking better quality paint like it used to.
