I'll be the first to admit, I am by no means versed in these things. My want for a reg stems from threads that promote it for consistencies sake. That, and where I am with tuning with springs, I don't think (read: I could be wrong here, I'm more than down to being taught!!!) I haven't much leeway with tuning internally anymore. The Trracer PT's length doesn't leave much room for velocity adjustment by way of the bolt. I could try the weak(er) red AC spring to reaplace the Trracer spring. I do have some stronger valve springs to try.

I'm telling you now; there's a pound right there, scope and riser. Not a heavy total; but a heck of a difference have and have not.

super trowel, a nelson means a Nel-Spot 007 from the Nelson Paint Company

it is what started the whole sport

This is an original Nel-Spot 007

The Hammer 7 uses the basic action that the nelson has, and all nelson guns share certain characteristics of operation.

my advice to the people playing with regs and such - my experiences with nelsons have taught me that the KISS principle works wonders. If you want regged consistency then run a high output (800+psi) HPA tank and tune with springs accordingly, and thats it. If you run bulk CO2 then set it up to prevent liquid in the valve (or run a siphon if you want*). If you are running 12grs and want max efficiency then the shortest path from 12gr to valve with the minimal amount of open space in the valve is the trick, along with a fairly well breathing valve tube and a light hammer

in fact I like opened up valve tubes in general, and as light a hammer as you can run. But if you just want simple function, and don't want to stress max shot count, then just run the high output HPA tank and call it a day. Quality paint that matches the bore well and you'll have pretty good shot to shot consistency

just my opinions on these things.

the top one just has old school lapco guts, a #6 powertube, tuned with springs, flexhoned, and shoots fantastic from that 22/3k

Just for simplicity's sake; I'm gonna seek out a spacer to devolumize the valve area. The hammer I'll ask Stanch about tri-fluting. Inbelieve I have found the largest PT in the stock Trracer unit, its id is as big as a #6.

Yeah, this is bginning to get bulky.

Damn. Stock, rail, scope, two extra mags, and an A5 barrel I'd like to have work with this. $210

:-D

In my defense; I have been good about just drinking water when the lady and I go out karaokeing at the bar. :Idon'thaveStateFarmbutgivemesomemoney:
