Lueseefur, are you referring to the screws that holds the trigger frame to the body?

The front screw on a phantom is 8-32 and the rear is 10-32. The screw that holds the breach in place on a hammer 7 is M5x.08.

Are you suggesting re-tap the hole, or did you just cram one in and make it work?

I believe a 10-32 is close enough to work. I remember there being a standard threaded screw that would work it just wasn't as tight of a fit as the metric version.

10-32 is almost the same as M5 (x0.8) The metric pitch of 10-32 is 0,79375 and the OD is about the same.

At less than $3 for a proper thread thumbscrew I'm not sure I'd want to get "close enough". Make enough switches and something is going to wear out.

Edit: or re-tap the hole/helicoil.
