Based on the length of the threading within the bolt, there is the possibility that a TPC style diffuser could be constructed. The only issue is the threads do not go al the way to the bolt face, so the TPC would need to be necked down to make it fit better.

would it still be structurally sound if it was grooved all the way around?

probably wouldn't be a problem if you made it out of stainless steel, but this one is aluminum.

I think the aluminum one is prototyped correct. So everything we are doing will be with SS in mind?

@Heinous - I don't think there will be a structural issue. There is some extra meat between the velocity adjuster threads and the detent protection grooves, plus the flat on the bottom is at the same depth as the detent groove.

@Keebler - The aluminum one is a production bolt, directly from Kingman. The debate as to whether we want/need a stainless steel unit is still up in the air.

the Hornet diffuser slips right into the new H7 bolt I wont have any velocity control but it should be able to shoot some paint.

I find it funny that the Phantom comes with a diffuser that people are hacking off. This comes without and we are adding one lol

But I have heard that people who remove the diffuser from phantoms have lots of ball breaks.

I think the average person. Who does remove it does so with the addition of a regulator to reduce pressure

Regarding the ball breakage issue... That was why we need the Phantom guys who have modified the TPC. They have first hand experience, and can give us valuable information, so we don't have to produce multiple prototypes.

Alpha, once the community figures out what we want to change, regarding the bolt, I would like to see if we can get a bulk order together, and have some like you, with a good cnc machine, build them. I can do them as one offs, but the cost will make the retail price too high for most end users.... Putting a $100 bolt into a $140 marker is kinda silly.
