But they would have to make a *90 turn, not just go vertical into a hopper stack.

Are you asking if the ballstack drops a little when a ball feeds, then is pushed back up when the bolt moves forward?

Yeah, does the breach on the hammer7 allow for a raised 90*? Or are the balls loaded so low that they are forced back up? Which might chop some of them

If it helps, i loaded 3 z-balls into my H7's feedneck, then pumped. Had to do it a few times to notice, but they raise slightly. I don't think a 90 turn will cause problems in standard bore feed tubes.

Edit: the rising i'm noticing could just be the z-balls rolling, the bolt causing the middle ball to roll, and the friction of that ball rubbing against the top ball, making it bounce. Z-balls are bouncy fellows.

On a side note, the dual detents make it a chore to remove a ball by hand from the breech. Another testament to their ability to prevent roll-outs, or roll-backs.

Even though it's a 90* turn, it's not a hard 90, so the balls can roll back through the curve. I put a ghetto stick feed on my ego (similar height difference) and didn't notice any chops. Plus that was me shooting 12.5 ramp (dumb with a stick feed but I wanted to try it)

dundadun - the h7, being a bore instead of breech drop nelson, should have less of an issue with what you are describing

^thats me parroting old sales stuff for the original bushmaster pump on why it was superior to other nelson based paintguns^

Doesn't having a rotating breach make it a breach drop?

As far as 3D printing goes, extra holes for set screws actually make it slightly cheaper. Could you make it with large holes, or designs (like cross bars) on the top extra space. The freed block would cover these, so you would not see them, but they would still provide needed strength.

Could I get the volume of the object as it sits? I'll calculate a 3D print of it from there. I am thinking a test one in cheap nylon, and then actual production in black polished nylon. Could print it in steel, but the cost would probably be huge.
