| Newbie Join Date: Feb 2013 | Should I get the spyder e-mr5?
Hi I'm in the market for a new marker and I was thinking about purchasing a spyder e-mr5. But, I was wondering, is it honestly worth it? I read reviews saying that it chops paint on full auto. If that's the case, id rather have the mech version. If anyone has this marker please let me know if it's a good idea to purchase it or not. Thank you.

I agree with PK5 I think any gun that doesn't have eyes will chop on full auto unless your using a force fed hopper like a Rotor,Halo,Prophecy etc. I own EMR5 and it shoots awesome ofcourse I'm only using Mags and shooting it on semi but I don't have any problems with it. If Mag fed and first strike capable is what your looking for the EMR5 can't be beat for it's price range.

If shooting FSR's why use full auto ? is it cool, sure, but impractical. With FSR's and a rifled barrel you shouldn't need but a double tap to mark a player (at distance). If your close then a non-rifled barrel should be fine. Granted we hadn't seen a rifled barrel yet for the MR5 but soon will Im sure. My suggestion is skip the E version and just buy an MR5. Your playing mag-fed and shooting FirstStrikeRounds... so why have full auto ? Even if your running normal paint, its a mag-fed marker, no need for full auto IMHO ;-) |

Well your looking at a $50 difference between the 2 but you get more features with the EMR5 but with the MR5 you'll never have to worry about batteries. Either one is good the MR5 is a little lighter too. Oh by the way I just shot some FSR and there super Fresh and a case of 100 is only $40 and a case of 40 is $21
