I'm getting some major double feeding in my MR5. I'm thinking the spring might need to be broken in, but detent is rather weak at holding paint too.

I have double feed problems ALL THE TIME when using paintballs in any of my mags. I think we need a stiffer front detent or maybe double detents.

The mag springs in the FS springs are pretty strong, and with only a .690 barrel you're asking a lot of the detent alone to hold it back.

The other thing is I've noticed several people already who've sliced their detents up pretty bad by switching back and forth between mag and hopper feed, maybe you might want to check yours?

I did do that the first time I tried to switch and chopped it off. right after that I took the bolt out and continued the groove around the rest of the bolt so it cant be damaged now.

lmartin mentions that we shouldn't be getting double feeds, they have another detent for smaller paint. I will try to call Spyder this week and get a few.

The detent I mentioned was a post you made about your MR5. We have to look at our other detents to see what we can do for the Hammer.

The MR5 uses a plastic finger that is held by an oring on the barrel. If your using small paint .679 or smaller, we took a propane torch and heated the plastic detent and warmed it up so it could bend. After we bent it we cut off any sharp edges and cured it with some plastic hardener.

If you need one for your MR5, hit me up.

Don't call me next week, I'm going to be at the paintball extravaganza. Send me an email at lmartin@kingman.com and I'll get a tech to call you back.

Took my brand new mr5 out today and same issue... I found only using 8 rounds instead of 9 helped out BUT I still had jams and chops.... I was very frustrated considering I just spent over 100$ on 4 mags and they all did the same thing... It shoot normal paint fine (using bombz)

EDIT:

I'm in Los Angeles area also... I was about to start cleaning it right now but maybe u guys can take a look at it... Don't mind leaving it with u guys for a tad bit since its not my primary gun... Also the FS rounds and guns were purchased Friday from "time 2 paintball" and the mags were purchased from "gateway" not sure if that helps
