Spyder MRX back bottle ASA mod

I had this idea ever since I bought the marker, it was only a question of finding the right piece.
I found that Sterling donkey body is just about right. It was a matter of shaving and cutting a bit, so it slips in snugly right where the stock goes, plugging a gap where the Sterling valve guide should be, drilling and tapping a hole on the side for air supply plus the thread to keep the thing in place, using the same size and placement as for the stock screw.
The easy part was to dremel a passage in the lower receiver, mix two 90 deg. elbows, braided hose, quick disconnect fitting for easy field stripping and presto! Works like a charm.

That's really nice. Would like to know a little more about the adapter part of the build.

Well, the idea is simple: I was looking for ASA that was long enough to fit nicely into the upper tube of MRX body (and a similar diameter, had to use a lathe though), and with enough space on the side to drill and tap a hole for the 90 deg elbow. After that it was just a matter of plugging the holes and securing it in place with CAR stock screw.
Here is the part that I used:

CCI Phantom Air Adapter or any other Nelson pump back bottle adapter could work just as well, but I'm not sure.

Cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for a nelson valve body to hack up.

Awesome. One question. Can you make it so the air tube is on the other side?
