Yes its just economics. Ive often said that the dam mags are actually probably more costly than they are listed at. But i believe their cost was offset by the extremely over priced marker which we all know isn't worth its price tag. Whereas i believe its the exact opposite with the hammer 7. Cheap entry level marker but then they hook you with over priced mags. I wouldnt say the h7 mags crappy just low tech and lacking in features. They are reliable at least. But with this mod we get the best of both worlds a cheap reliable mag fed marker with low priced and in my opinion the best mags available on the market.

Aggroman, I was wondering about how much you had to lengthen the flat section the body in order to fit the new mag well? I ask because I'd like to see if it would be a possible mod for my MR5 (if only for the cheaper magazines.)

Edit: Nevermind, I'm a moron and was too distracted by the pretty pictures to notice the measurements were included!

Haha no problem, those are really the only crucial measurements. Everything else can vary a little.

Nice work. I wonder if it's possible to do on an MR5 platform since the mags are the same.

I think it could be made to work. It may just be more difficult to mount the front of the magwell.

Really clean work. It looks like it's stock.

Very nice. I may have to call Dye to get a magwell in case I ever want to attempt something like this.

Because of the front barrel shroud?
