Time to get back into it

I'm getting back into paintball after my 5 year break. I was going to buy a new marker, but it seems that a monkey wrench has been thrown into that, so I am gonna dust off my old spyder's and try to pick up old parts and finally make that spyder I always wanted.

This is what Ive got with. Old compact A and and old spyder std. Thinking Ill get my hands on a electric frame (where can I find these? will Frames off the newer spyders work on these old ones?) and a Bob Long Millenium Body. At least it would look more exciting then. Anyone else have either any ideas on what to do with these older spyders or where to get some parts for them?

Not sure if it works on these bodies, but you could always turn it into a Spimmy (Spyder-Timmy).

I am pretty sure that all the spyder electro frames (up to 2005, to include the double trigger) are supposed to work on all spyder markers. I just sold 2 old ones (E99 and an Avant) that had the ACS bolt. Nifty little gizmo that after I installed it, I never broke another ball in that marker.

As for parts, Ebay will be your friend. You should be able to pick up older electro spyders for around 40 bucks.

What is this "Spimmy" that you speak of? It sounds expensive (bad) but like a good project (very good). Have a link to how-to on this one? Might be worth checking in to.

Edit: Found them on google, will not work with these bodies as they are the old "fatty" style.

It is basically a Bob Long Intimidator(Timmy) inside a Spyder body. Check the "Voided Warranty" section on the place we do not speak of(PBN).

Will NOT return to PBN.. have a post about that. Looking at that almost made me give up the idea of getting back into paintball.

When the marker is worth more than your IRA you have a problem
