| EM-1 Reg - BKO ASA/PPS Direct Stab? I picked up an EM-1 since I'm somewhat of a Spyder fan and it's definitely a unique part of Kingman's marker past. After doing a little research, it seems that the factory regulator/ASA mounted below the grip is somewhat of a POS. Of course, being a Spyder, none of the connections are standardized, so the front grip isn't attached with normal ASA threading, but something smaller. It -looks- like 1/8" NPT but I'm not positive. Apparently back when EM-1s were semi popular, people took off the Spyder foregrip and replaced it with a BKO/B2K ASA adapter, which then allowed them to slap whatever reg they wanted on. After some googling it seems that B2K parts are not exactly easy to come by anymore. I had the brilliant idea that maybe I could just throw a female Stab on the bottomline instead of the Kingman reg (PPS goodness is always a plus, and I figured a dust nickel would match the cast-chrome looks of the EM-1 nicely) and just keep the foregrip adapter, but when I went to the PPS website I noticed they make a "Direct" Stabilizer with 1/8" threading on the output as well. Anyone know if I can just screw a direct Stab into the input port on the EM-1 body, and plumb up an On-Off ASA to the bottomline? |

| My Google-Fu prevails. Stumbled on an old version of a PPS catalog, turns out they actually do front block upgrades for EM-1s where they'll take out the secondary reg and replace it with a Rock, and can also add a V/A to run a primary reg in the process. I called up and Lori confirmed they could still do them. Palmer's saves the day again! |

| Yeah, no kidding...especially for a $100 gun. Gonna be >$250 for the Palmerizing, plus it needs a feedneck, bottomline on/off ASA, new bolt, and probably a new detent (magnetic or at least rebuildable). The sad thing is, it's one of the blue/chrome ones and I'm a black on black sorta guy...so this may end up becoming a "girlfriend gun". Either that or another bunch of money getting it all ano'ed. Edit: So I added up everything, and it's like $700 with the Palmer upgrade, a Stab, Rock a PPS barrel, detent/asa/feedneck/bolt. Oooouch...but certainly unique!
