| 177, recocking probems A little help, please? Here in Japan, a law that went into effect a couple of years ago limits us to 177 fps. Some of my customers who have Spyders and clones are having trouble. TO get the velocity down enough, we've cut the main spring, but some are having now having recocking issues. Please keep in mind that these are not dual regulated set-ups, and input pressure from the tank is whatever their HP Air Tanks give (typically in the 800 psi range) Would a weaker valve spring help? Any other ideas? Thanks for the help. |

| Endearingly quirky | 177??? You might as well just throw the balls. You could try drilling a hole thru the back of the valve into the chamber to give an extra path for the recock gas to exit the valve and push the hammer back. Or grind down the side of the valve pin a little more where it's flattened to allow more recock gas past.
