E-MR1 Red Dot

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a red dot sight that will fit directly on the E-MR1? It's nice that it has the weaver rail, but the first sight I tried on it wouldn't fit between the bolt and hopper elbow. The space just wasn't long enough for the sight to fit.

I would like to avoid using another rail on top of the gun if possible. Any suggestions?

That does look like it would be a problem.

Can you take some pics of the one you tried? Or at least post some measurements? I've got some nice weaver mount red dots I got direct from China via ebay for cheap but they are really very nice. They are short but the cocking toggle sticking up may still be a problem.
