spyder rs

I bought an rs (great deal $170) and I cant seem to get it to dryfire faster than like 13 bps in semi, the eyes are off and I know it's not me because I can do about 18 on a stock vs2, and They have bassically the same trigger. Will it shoot faster with paint, or is there a way to modify the board.

It might be capping because the eyes are off. I know the promaster caps the ROF if they're off or no movement of the bolt is detected. It's probably the same for the Spyder.

The number of people actually able to shoot faster than 11-12 bps w/ NO bounce would probably startle you. My guess is that the VS2 was bouncy, giving you the 18 bps.

I never actually took that into consideration, but I still know I'm able to shoot faster than It's letting me, this feels wierd coming from primarily a pump player.

Agreed. As they'd say "elsewhere", Goldwave or shens on the 18bps.

Also, why would you ever possibly need to shoot faster than 13bps in semi?

Did you get an RSX with the Tadao board, or a base RX? There are upgrade boards available if you just have the stock board, the Tadao should have uncapped semi.

The RS comes with the Tadao board right??
My VS2's Tadoa caps me to 10 I think...if my eyes are off or not functioning.

rsx comes with the tadao, pretty much $55 more for a board with ramping modes I wouldn't use, a trigger that I hate, and a silver body kit that I don't care for.

I don't stay on the trigger and rain paint, I'd just like to be able to shoot fast bursts when I need to.

RSX has the Tadao, basic RS does not.
Spyder.tv - Spyder RS Series Paintball Markers

Here's the manual, it only has semi and 3rd modes.
http://www.spyder.tv/section/support/manuals/rs.pdf

Basic board probably means it's capped at 13bps

It's advertised at 20, that's to bad... still the way I play doesn't dictate me returning it, last time I played with a semi I kept reaching under the barrel to pump it, so I this is lightyears ahead anyway.
