My own Pilot hasn't had a single chop so far and that includes during the famed Pilot trigger "stutter" when you hold your finger just right (or wrong as the case may be). And since I've only ever used a grav feed hopper I have to assume that this is because of the ACP. Well, that and the fact I've only used it in a few games and some practice testing.

The way to get results with these seems to be to "break in" the spring, by rubber-banding it in the compressed position for a while. Apparently they're a wee bit too stiff stock and can still allow chops to happen on thinner paint.

The other problem can be recocking when you get a pinch, but there's not really a good way around that in a STBB. Usually faster to recock than clean busted balls out of your breech and feedneck though...

if you break in the spring your ACS bolt will work fine. Take the bolt out of the marker and compress it for an hour while watching TV. Then play with the marker and the bolt will loosen up even more.

I have mine for a long time now and have not had one issue with it.

If it is anything like the JAM bolts, put a swab down the neck, and shoot it 100 times or so. Its the action of compressing and uncompressing that puts wear on a spring, not just static compression.

And I love my JAM bolt.
