If you do real Gold plating I would do a clear powder coat over it.
Most places that do Gold plating recommend it.

As for powder coat colors, Ill see what I can find ...

Thank you Ken. Anything you could find or fill me in on would be greatly appreciated. I looked into Titanium Nitride coating, but a $1700 price tag is a wee bit out of my price range.

I'm thinking maybe a metallic gold coat, and a high gloss clear coat over it to protect it.

Either that, or I'll do a high polished gold anodizing somewhere.

Thank you, Ken! Another question. If I do go for the real gold plating, how would a clear powdercoat over top affect the appearance?

Well if it's strong enough for the auto industry I would think it strong enough for paintball.

I can speak to the toughness of Ken's work in particular. I have 2 guns that he has powder coated for me, and they are holding up to regular play as good or better than anodizing. 2 years, no scratches I can find.

Thank you Robertsr for your kind words ... They were some really nice powder coating marker if I say so myself.

Hello!

I see you've done an older Tippmann before, I have a Pro-Lite that I'd like to body coated with a red finish, how much would that run?
