Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. It is not the best translation I imagine, but it is pretty cool to see a post apocalyptic story from the other side of the Iron Curtain. It has a sequel and both have spawned video games.

Just bought the first of the Dresden Files books...we'll see how good they are I guess.

Side Note: Anyone else use the kindle app on their laptop? I have a retina MBP and the app isnt updated for the higher resolution yet , hurts my eyes to try and read the fuzzy text.

A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. On the second book, A Clash of Kings.

When I get finished with that, I've got another book waiting, "The Filthy Thirteen: From the Dustbowl to Hitler's Eagle's Nest - The True Story of the 101st Airborne's Most Legendary Squad of Combat Paratroopers" by R. Killblane and Jake McNiece

The first 2 books are average. By book 3 you should be well addicted to the Dresdencrack.
