Since team affiliation has always been on the arms I think it should continue that way. The addition of "squads" can use the newer, less conventional location on the mask. Also, the less important "squad" tape is thinner/ less prominent.

Side note:
I have always appreciated having each side use opposite arms (right, left) for their side designation. That way if you can only see the un-banded side of a player you can still figure out which team he is on.

^^^agreed^^^ do you stick your body out first? or take a look see? I like tape on front & back of mask...then you could use the arm tape for gang distinction.

It is great that Viper is asking the players for their opinions...I have not made it up to LL yet, and I stress yet...keep it up and players...play hard but safe!

I wear a sleeveless jersey so I have to put ID tape on my shoulders like suspenders.

I also agree that having ID tape on the front and back of the head is the easiest way to ID someone but is harder and more expensive to do.

If you're going to use armbands use them on both arms.

So is the 3rd team going to use Clear tape? They are just going to shoot random people anyways.

I'd make the gang/unit tape the multi color variety like these Stripe and Polka Dot surveyors tape. Have one side use the different stripes for their units and the other side use dots.

Then just use solid blue and red for sides.
Location of the tape makes sense to put the side on each side of the mask. But then again I tend to shoot the "wrong" people anyway.

Viper, your style of using feedback from players is a great way to improve our sport.

Wish it would catch on down here in the south.
