I've heard they were finicky to get working right, but once you get them set right then they do shoot nicely... I don't know, I think Cyborgs already shoot well enough with standard valves in them .

Buying that would be a waste of money IMHO. The one MacDev puts in the Cyborg is already perfectly balanced and probably the best quality poppit valve out there. Why fix it if it isn't broken?

hahahahaha how true

if anyone has tried a balanced valve with the right tuning you would notice a difference

now this thread isnt about how well the stock valve works, so if you dont have any experience(either 1st 2nd or 3rd hand) with one please dont post, its merely clutter

i heard people in PBN had trouble/issues with them, im trying to figure out what they were specifically, which those threads dont cover, its almost like how mag owners are fearful and stifle discussion on aftermarket parts.

The only thing close to a real observation on why the valves didn't always perform nicely was just "bad manufacturing quality." The guy really didn't elaborate but said that the valve was a great idea but poorly implemented, basically. I'm guessing it was just a fit and finish type of issue, perhaps they don't always seal correctly, or the valve might have more friction in it than it should.

Put up some videos if/when you get it working, I've never seen a video of a LAAV in action (at least not in a Cyborg, I think I saw one in an Ego) but have always had a curiosity towards them.

the empire balanced valve had the same problems
mainly due to the finish of the valve

the stem had some rough machine lines so it needed lots of lube to seal, and friction was really high, i polished all sealing surfaces on the stem, and changed the oring to a low friction one, and after all that work its AMAZING, but its not drop in.

my friends had an LAAV and had the same leaking problems but i think i can solve them with some refinement.

and its not going into a cyborg, but a gun that also uses 11/16ths size valves
