Alright guys, I guess I was a little too excited and made a post while I was freaked out. I measured the old and new bolt and the front of the new bolt is .002" bigger than the stock bolt. The rear of the new bolt was over .005" bigger! I took it over to the lathe, 10 minutes later, I've got it how it should have been in the first place. It's like butter in the gun now. Why wasn't the bolt the same diameter all the way across? I have no idea, but I'm surprised a big company such as Macdev would have such low tolerances in their products. Anyways, I plan to take the gun out tonight and get it re-tuned with the new parts. More info to come with my results. |

Alright, I've got the gun up and running. The lpr is at 75ps and the hpr is nearly at 200psi. I'm shooting ~285fps. Everything seems fine, except the gun sounds different than it used to, for now I'm just assuming that' b/c of the new bolt. But it makes a slight chuffing sound when it fires. However, if you keep shooting it goes away after a couple shots. The fps is consistent over the chrono as you shoot, no shoot down or FSDO. I think I will play with turning down the LPR, I just chose 75psi as a starting point. Maybe this odd sound will go away with it on a lower setting.
