My first Macdev Marker

So I just bought my first Macdev marker, a Droid. I haven't had the chance to air it up and test it out yet but I did put my pinokio hopper on it and my (empty) 68/4500. That marker has a very nice feel to it. The trigger feels a little bit too light so maybe there's an adjustment to be made there but over all the ergonomics feel amazing. Anyways I just wanted to post up.

Congrats! MacDev was way underrated for too many years. Seems lately with the various Clone models they've finally been getting the recognition they deserve. Droids are still up there with the best markers being produced today.

Yes macdev guns are awesome. It's great that they are finally getting more popular.

As far as your droid, it suffers from lackluster stock trigger. Too much side to side play. If you have a stock trigger, you'll definitely like the improvement of an aftermarket trigger. Little to no side to side play and should also come with a magnet mod. That should give you more adjustability than the spring. I havebhadbthe violent and critical. Both are good but the critical felt snappier to me. So much so that I kept the trigger for the clone, RX, and GT when I had them

Thanks for the tip on the trigger. I'm going to get some games in with it as is before I look into a new trigger. I like to run things stock first to see what I don't like instead of blindly buying upgrades. I agree though there is a bit of play in the trigger.

edit: ehehe...didn't realize how little activity there was on this forum

The main feature of MacDev triggers is a pivot point located far too low on the trigger frame.

The CP droid trigger has basically a slope in the top portion of the trigger that redirects your finger down into the usable portion of the trigger, away from that dead zone at the top.

It also has absolutely zero side to side play at all. They can be easily modified to fit in an 07 and earlier borg too.

I'm a big fan of Violent Productz triggers in general and the one I have in my 06 Cyborg is great, so I'd recommend you look at those as well.

And yea, sorry for missing this thread and not getting back on that earlier haha.
