The lathe is a 1998 or 99 ish model Granite 1324... I don't remember exactly when I bought it.. I use it exclusively as a lathe

It has done a good job over the years but it is now starting to show it's age,has a few oil leaks and a bit more spindle run out than I like..

Milltronics, I wi mag panel wiring, and electrical assembly on all of their machines, plus service parts for existing machines.

The company itself makes just about every cnc style imaginable, I love working there, I just haven't meet a machinist personally with one in their shop

parts came in today but the neglected to tell me the shaft that I HAVE to have is on back order till the 10th of September...

Time for plan "B"..

Tig weld theOD of the old shaft and regrind to size..

Bore and bushing the worn out tumbler...that will be a pain as the casting doesn't have a single straight edge..

More to come...

Tumbler has been reworked... Added bushings at what was my best guess as to the location of where they needed to be and nailed it within .001...

Going to start putting it back together tonight..

I envy your mechanical ability. When something in my life breaks, it mostly stays that way.
