MCB Server Reboot

Sorry for the slight downtime. Not exactly sure what happened. I got a bunch of mysql errors on my blackberry and found the site down.

Rebooted the server, and the httpd service wasn't running. The server was in read only mode or something. So go figure. After as disk check (FSCK), the services are up and running.

I personally think it's a tad bit slower than normal, but I'm going through the services and seeing if anything is different after the reboot. Give me some time as I go through it all, but it looks good so far.

Thanks for bearing with me as I try and keep her afloat!

This has me somewhat worried. This has the earmarks of an intrusion attempt. But it's been a few years since I was running an IDS. Even then I knew very little about SQL databases.

We're keeping an eye on things. It all looks ok, and running fine now.

Yeah.. Lots of fun at Huntington Beach. Glad I did it again... The team should be going to all the NPPL events this year.

I got to personally hang the flag at the end of a game, and I loved that moment...

The people there were great, nice to meet so many west coast folks and some familiar east cost folks too. :)

it could have also simply been a crash in an sql table.. that wouldnt explain the server reboot but a memory failure or a bad hdd sector can cause all kinds of randomness.

It was... Had to rebuild our site's sql tables. We're off and running smoothly now this morning after I rebuilt them.
