Flunkn, I think it's fair to say, on behalf of the museum, that they want any patches that people want to send them. There are several thousand different patches in the museum's collection.

Listessa, are you accepting patches at the upcoming castle conquest this april? Assuming you'll be there?

I'll be there, but if at all possible I'd appreciate them to be mailed in first, since I hope to have the panels sewn together so I may hand deliver them to the museum at Castle.

Soon after Castle I am moving to Alaska from my current home in New Hampshire. I have a lot of stuff to move with me, and I would really hate to loose patches. Granted I could just send them home with the lost Alaskan I'm dragging to Castle with me...

So yes, I will take them for another strip but if you could drop them in the mail prior to Castle, it would be great. Just an FYI - you can mail a patch or two in a plain white envelope with two or three stamps (check at the local post office for proper postage). I've received collectible patches from other stuff that way before too.

Hold off for a month or so please. Will be updated when I move!

That's the address again just to be super handy. Cut off for mailing in is May 1st. Once I move there will be a new address posted if people keep the donated patches trickling in.

And let me know what you like. (If you tell me before 6 PM on Sunday March 11th, I'd appreciate the other input) Criteria is that it either has to be camo or Blue. Unfortunately none of the stores around had that blue pattern camo in anything without sparkles or on normal fabric (not fleece).

But there's some cool choices!

I will be no help here as I like each one of those for the purpose at hand. I know Blue will, of course, like the blue patterns, but it might be nice to memorialize the CC effort in the creation of the panel by grabbing some of that Hawaiian looking stuff.

Really, let your budget and the strength of your needles dictate the decision as each one of those would be fine.

There were some nifty looking Hawaiianish prints. Just didn't want to get anything TOO floral and get blamed for it. Heh! Most of the pictures shown have a lot more blue in them than it looks. Stores are poor places for quick photos.

I tossed up what is organized thus far. I'm waiting on some fabric that will be perfect.
I have crossed my fingers that it will be in by Friday (or the other fabric store will come through for me locally). I don't have much going on other than work this weekend so sewing shall commence too.

In case you all need this as a reminder (since I just heard from some of you in another thread), I'll bump this up.

Please mail before May 1st. Preferably before Castle, let's get as many as possible together so they can all be together first. If you find stuff after (yes I will continually sew patches to fabric and mail them to EMR or Drum to take to EMR), please email me before you send since I am in the middle of a move.

BTW, I'm also batting around the idea of getting people to email me the background on patches so maybe there could be little mini writeups hung near the tapistries that are in alphabetical order regarding each patch.
