That sounds like a great idea.

A lottery is the closest thing there is to a tax on stupidity...but at least here the odds will be better

Sounds like a good idea. I second the Grey Ghost as the first prize, provided it passes the review. Perhaps small second and third prizes like Premium membership?

Should we raffle old collectibles also? I don't know if it would work (or if people would wonder if it was legit), but I was thinking of raffling a SI lever changer, stating up front how much would be paid for it, and having the rest go as a donation to the site.

I would have to say thats a good idea. And I agree that the proceeds could go to maintaining this website. Its a worthy cause in itself.
