Code Upgrade This Morning

MCB underwent a forum code upgrade to version 3.6.8. Everything installed smoothly, and is looking ok.

Please keep me informed if there are any problems or you encounter an issues with regard to this upgrade.

I've also spent yesterday trying to speed up the site by tweaking existing code and making a few minor apache changes. I don't think it was that noticeable but anything to keep the pace up around here

One change I noticed is the member-only forums are now visible to me.

Odd, since I'm not a member.
(Yes, I know its about time I pay dues since I've been on here since the beginning.... but that $10 could also buy a 6-pack of delicious Sam Adams Dark Lager... mmm).

Chappy, at work we have a cruddy dialup connection. SO, I'll surf the boards using Firefox with all the graphics turned off. It only loads the text, so every loads pretty fast.

Only problem I am noticing is in explorer the ads if they do not fully load I have to back out of the page several times (2-3 depending on load)

I know go firefox but not everything shoes up on firefox for me for some reason. ( ictures mostly)

New puter soon though with fresh installs may help.

LOL... I figured it was a bug. The site occationally does odd things. There was a whole year when it wouldnt let me log in with Elinks.

But there is no denying how useful this site is. Enough old parts in BST to make Ros-Asp jealous, as well as lots of old timers I remember playing with in the old days, with a wealth of knowledge and experience that is unrivaled anywhere, except maybe AO.
