Ok cool I got it figured out. I downloaded the chatzilla thingy. I couldn't log directly into the chat room but now it works.

its xp windows firewall is on Should only be me using it pebkac?!? Edit: Tried it with the FW off, no change.

Not on the same network. I tried using mIRC, the web based and chatzilla, no go on all of those. Dunno, its the work computer. My Mac works fine with zero problems. Stupid PCs!
