Wanted: New Logo for PbHound.com

Yup, I'm resurrecting her from the dead. I'm currently snagging sites as we speak.

It will be a good week before it's truly usable again, and I have most of the sites searched.... But in the mean time I need to get it re-debugged, and everything working again.

And get that toolbar working for firefox 2.0 I'm not sure what I'm going to do with out it. I miss it already.

I actually do like the logo I have there... But it just looks crappy and all pixelated.

I need one that says "PbHound.com Beta" one that says "PbHound Deals" and one that says "PbHound News"

Keeping with the current color scheme please.

Thanks in advance... If I was a graphic artist I wouldn't be asking. I more of a behind the scenes coder fool...

Anyhow, thanks, and here's to looking ahead.

Not sure what your using for the search engine, but have you looked at the new API google released? Basically lets you set up sites like PBhound limited to a select group of pre-determined sites. Not saying it's better or worse, just wouldn't have as much of a code-maintenance responsibility.

Anyhow, I think pbhound is a great idea.

Thanks, Carter

It's actually not a big deal (to be honest) on the code maintenance side. It's the getting the info part.

Google only goes so deep on forum posts, etc. Especially on paintball forums. So I figured I would go one step further, get just paintball forums, and get the information I'm looking for.

I mean, google doesn't even go more then a page deep on vintagerex.com...

Only the forum? or do they not even index the regular pages besides the main page? (nevermind, I seemed to answer my own question. It does look like google gets the rest of the site, but they all combine together because of the non-unique page title)

You'd probibly get better google results if the Title in the Title bar was unique for each page instead of always "Vintage Rex" (I think this is more important for sites with dynamic pages (..cgi?...). Is there a Index/Site Map file? That also helps with trouble sites.

I guess it's a moot point, PbHound works better anyhow :P
