| I Am The Admin | Blue book almost a reality again I've been on/off working on the blue book and a way for folks to appropriately edit it. So here are the issues at hand: 1. Should we have every gun, ever made available in this guide? Or keep it to certain "older" guns? The older ones are easier to keep track of, and sets a limit. Or just start with older, and work our way up as to not make it instantly overwhelming? 2. Where should we have it? Should is just be on this site? bb.mcarterbrown.com or should it have it's own site. paintballguide.org Yes, I do own "guide" name, so it is a viable option. The blue book is currently just going to be an editable one page form. To edit the prices, you click on the gun name. Otherwise, we keep track of the 3 prices... Beat up, good condition, and top condition. Get the "average" price, which is the price they are normally going for.... Prices are subjective as always, and do not pertain to OTHER goodies, etc. Use your best judgement, and we make it work for everyone. I'm going to try and make it editable by everyone, BUT if and most likely this will happen... if some jerks decide they want to mess around with it, then I'll have to lock it up and go for plan B. Anyhow... answer the above questions if you can, and we'll get this rolling. Carter |

| Seasoned Member | The value of new guns is really hard to keep up with, so I think it should be for older guns only, maybe starting from 1999 and down. I think it should be an extension of MCB so not just any bozo can edit it.

| Devious Penguin Mod | We're getting more diplomatic refugees here from PBN, so the value of the newer guns may become a reality if we can get some good knowledgable and responsible people to help with it.

| I think to start with pre 99 and eventually add from there if it was Mcarterbrown bluebook, primarily older guns like whats on vintagerex.com I am not sure it is possible, but if there was a way to enter the price you paid for a said item if you purchased one recently, it could add the total of all entries, and divided by the amount of entries that would give the average price. I know there would be issues of the what ifs... as in what if the gun i purchased had all kinds of upgrades... what if its not in mint shape, what if..... maybe there is a possibility of being able to pick whether the gun you purchased was Mint, Good, or Poor condition and then pick the price. then it can add it to the appropriate condition for that gun and only average that column.... just a thought. I am behind it either way as it is always nice to be able to refer to for an "idea" of cost of a said item.
