Yes, but the left Kg is full depressed/closed force of the valve spring, and the right Kg is force of cocked hammer spring.

And on the graphs are the setups with most efficient hammer spring force (final setting with RVA - preloading of the hammer spring).

How that I have that written down here so that I don't have to do the math every time I read this. I agree with you and noted it in my results above, that different spring combination's work better or worse with changes in the internals.
Sorry, I think that I have wrote to to excess words here.

But the last thing: stock weight of the Sheridan (PGP/P68) hammer is 41-42g. So in P68SC I have best results when I have reduced the hammer weight to 36% (15g) of thier stock weight and on PGP to 21% (9g) of thier stock weight. So my hammers are ~64-79% lighter than stock.

I think simply, that it you can get better results with little bigger reduction than you have now. But perhaps it can be different with your marker. Anyway, good luck with your work.

Thank you for that info.

I don't know if Have Blue will go any lighter or not. I think as I said before even that you are going to have to do something with the power tube just to see the best results of this weight reduction. Further weight reduction could require not only modifying a #6 power tube but also redesigning the cupseal and valve nut. In order for this to be a stand alone product on his site it can't require a lot of extra custom parts, unless those are also available there.

GMP, I had to take some pictures of my modded Grey Ghost hammer for my buddy WickedKlown2, who is interested in adapting it on his Duck Slide once he contacts RTR for a set of Gargoyle lowers.
I at one point purchased an entire Grey Ghost internal kit including a #6p pt just so that I could experiment with it on my Garg. What prompted me was Colin's legendary fluted hammer. I still have more work to do before I can hit the magic number of 50 usable shots. But I'm getting closer.
Side by side is a stock CCI on the left. My modded Lapco. And a stock Lapco.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

I don't know if Colin Thompson pioneered it, but were his that became legendary.

Good stuff.

3022, we need a standardized test result sheet that people can cut and paste. I may tinker with that if I have time. Something like the TechPB sites "For Sale" matrix. OBTW, your Czechenglish is lots better than it was 5 years ago.

All, I am also going to try and dig through the last 3 or 4 months of cj's and your posts and compile some half baked conclusions for people to correct until we get some closer to useable data or at least can maybe get a better idea of where this can go.

I would still like to see a Wiki put up like the Vintage Rex site. Currently if you dig around for four or five hours you can come up with enough data to be dangerous on A. Snipers, B. Sheridans, and C. Nelsons scattered through out dozens of posts in 5 or 6 areas of the site.

Well if you would like any more information or tests from me just let me know. I'll help as much as I can with the time that I have.
