Nice review, as you stated, the braided hose line looks kind of awful on such a nice marker, I would definitly swap it out for a steel hardline.

The "gnub" is a spyder/timmy detente (not 100% on the timmy, but thats what I have herd them called). They will wear after a while, but in the manner they are used (no bolt to gnub contact), this shouldn't be an issue. But I would advise picking up one or two more just incase. Great review, I hope to see this at castle.

Thanks for the review, Carter! Excuse my ignorance, as I've only used bore drops nelsons, but does the detente actually hold the ball in place after it is chambered, so there is no chance of a roll-out? The Ghost sure looks nice to me. Like others have said, it would be nice to have a right feed body too, but a vertical adapter could also work. They actually put more detail and thought into it than I figured, based on my assumption that it was thrown together parts. The gun doesn't appear to be an afterthought. Now, let's hope they release them... Last edited by NoForts4Me; 04-12-2007 at 01:17 PM. Reason: I can't spell! |

Actually Erik, it does help with both... You can chamber a ball with the barrel off, and the ball won't roll out. I'll have some video on it all, it's really neat.

Maybe a power-feed attachment? Also, would you mind getting a weight on this and a weight on a VSC Phantom? I can weight my Phantom, but not the Ghost... You seriously have me thinking about selling my Phantom and snagging a ghost. Any chance they might do a back bottle stock class? (I know... that wouldn't be true to old-school!)

Oops forgot.. that this one is breach drop.. and chambering puts it into the pre bore, as I guess we could call it. Nice feature...either way ![]() E PS - Carter the photos turned out a lot better than what you were describing.. the one outside definately has the hue you were decribing.. but otherwise great shots! - E |

I also thought a hardline would have looked better, but hardlines do not "quick disconnect" very well. I have a 4 guns with hardlines, and they are all a pain to disassemble. Honestly, for a gun to be USED, a stainless line, with Q/D is the most functional setup. Lets just thank the gods that a macroline was not even mentioned! Nick |

It would look more attractive if the stainless was a bit shorter... But it does add a cool old-school look to a definite old-school marker. Any idea when these will be on the shelves for sale???
