jcurt455 90* Phantom Grip Frame: A Quick and Dirty Review

Hey MCB,
doing a review on the Jcurt455 90* grip frame for the CCI Phantom.

Jeremy (Jcurt) did a run of 90* grip frames and well, a few were not up to his standards. Instead of scrapping them, he opened it up to the MCB community to try it out.

Being local and willing to try out the grip frame, I said "Why not?"

So here's my thoughts and impressions on the grip frame.
But first, we all love pictures....

The 90* grip frame allows you to play tighter. Do I like it? I'm not sure yet, I tend to shoot the .45 frame and prefer it. 86/90* is just goofy for me.

The machining and work on this "blem" frame is actually quite superb. Very nice lines, the finger grooves are sexy, and the rear hump of the frame is uber comfy.

The grip frame uses two panels and two screws a side to hold the grip panel in.

In comparison to the CCI .45 frame, this thing is thin. I measured my CCI .45 frame and it's roughly 1" in width (more if you included the palm swells). The 90* frame is about 3/4" in width.

Overall,
I do like the frame. It is very comfy to use and nicely made. Unfortunately I prefer .45 frames when it comes to using paintball markers and they feel "natural" to me. Those that tend to play really tight or run a stock, may be the ones who benefit the most from these frames.

If you are interested in picking a grip frame up, that link can be found here.

Hope you all enjoyed my review!

Have owned one of these before, terrific quality, just like on JCurt's pumps.
If you want s 90 degree frame, these are a nice choice.
