Thumbs down Milsig.ca review

I recently placed my first order with Milsig.ca. I dont have pictures at the moment, but I'll describe my experience just the same.

Their customer service isn't too bad, as they helped me get my package rerouted to the correct address, after two failed attempts by UPS. However, the packaging was loose and two of my items (A5 MATS stock and another item) were strewn around the box with orings loose and small parts all over. Not to mention, I got the stock and the fittings leaked out of the box, and the stock alone was $150! and didn't even include the $70 13 CI tank you need for it.

Another issue is that the one milsig magazine I bought doesnt fit in my MK5 kit, and I emailed their CS rep that I had been in touch with over a week ago. Still no answer. I should also mention that you don't need the $20 winding tool specific to their mags that they try to sell you.

Lastly, UPS sent me a $40 "tarriff" after I already paid $25 for shipping, and was forced to use UPS (which I loathe).

I called UPS and held on the phone just so I could tell them to stuff their additional fees.

It's my experience that everything from this store is waaaayyyy overpriced and I surely won't be purchasing anything else from them. I would go with rockstartactical.com, if nothing else to avoid the $40 UPS is going to try to hit you with if you live in the states. Very poor experience.

Overpriced for quality? I'd rather go for that any day.
Mind you, UPS in the US or overall is kind of shoddy. A lot of stuff coming in from the US via UPS into Canada is the same problem.

The MK5 kit is Tacamo yes?. The Milsig mags have been known not to fit them "loosely". Try calling them or use Facebook. their email gets flooded all the time.

Sucks that hte box stuff was loose all over the place but you sure that is not the fault of UPS?.

It is unfortunate that you will not be buying from them any time in the future.

In terms of price, yeah maybe it is slightly over priced but the cost of production for their stuff is relatively high in the first place. But as well all say. It is up to the consumer to decide where their money goes.

The packing thing is nothing new. Three years ago when I was a milsig user, the boxes always came without any packing material (loose items) and "just" enough tape to keep the box closed.

One thing though, never email; always call them. The only way it works.

I won't speak for the quality though....

I've seen Milsig crap up close and the quality isn't there at all. I don't know what you're talking about it, and the stuff isn't made locally, so the production cost is obviously very off set...

Note that all milsig mags are known to be a tighter than rap4 made stuff. Different companies different tolerances.
