| Active Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Cleveland, Ohio | 1408 New Steven King movie was very good, suspenseful and scary, I could have used more gore but the movie did not need it. Maybe not worth $20 for movie tickets and $30 for a baby sitter, but you gotta love the internet |

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | John Cusack still played the same smirk, whiny character he only seems to play, but in this movie it worked fairly well since it was played off as being a bad attribute. I like the first half. They did a really terrific job of building up the tension. Especially Samual L Jackson. It got silly "shining" silly when windows magically appeard full of bricks, and other windows disappeared. If the room had that much control over reality, you would think it could have prevented the ending? (no spoilers here! nick
