Nummech Contour Camera Barrel Mount

I just got the Nummech Contour Camera Barrel Mount. I already have the Contour Bike Bar mount. I'll be uploading some more videos from both once I've used it this weekend. The two reasons why I wanted to this this product out is because:
1. It is inline mount. The Contour Bike Bar is slightly off center.
2. When mounted above the barrel it still allows you sight down the rail unlike the Contour Bike Mount

Positive:
1. Very clean way of mounting the camera.
2. The slim part in the middle of the mount is great for actually being able to see your barrel. This allows you to aim better

Suggestions:
I wish the bottom set screw is about 1/4-1/2 inch longer so the bottom piece can be locked into place when not in use.

On a Pump with 16in barrel

On a normal gun.

Only mount that works with an Autococker and rain cover

The only problem I had was that my camera took a direct hit and crack something inside.

Wow. How did the outer lens look? was it a matter of something inside being dislodged from the force of the impact?

I think Andy (of Nummech) did a custom, one-off lens protector. I'm going to ask him if he can make some more and sell them on his store.

I bet it is paint on the inside of the lens. They are not water proof or paint proof, just take the lens off and clean it with a good cloth!

Actually, check the final video- Whatever it is, it's moving around, and not paint colored.

not much in there to move around, you got the lens, and the protective lens, that's about it. I just got a Contour ROAM and installed a 8mm lens and they are pretty simple inside, not too much to move. Sure it is just paint or water left over. Let us know what you find out.

Not paint at all.

After disassembling the protective lens and shot a video without the plastic lens on, this is what is looks like.

Someone made the comment: Your imager was jostled; most cameras have an IR filter. Looks like it was knocked loose.

Tell Andy I'll take one too.

Can you take out the actual lens? Not sure if they come out in the GPS model, I know they do in the ROAM and Plus models. I know several guys who have used the contour and took direct hit to them and never had a problem like this.
