my understanding was that you could run your own ASA and Reg on it as well if you wanted to, this was one of the reasons I was watching it. If they took away that option, I am a very sad panda

I will hook something up this weekend to test that, but it looks like you may need a special ASA to plug the line to the original reg/asa.

time will tell, but i just cant wrap my head around the fact that this thing is about the same price as an Axe, and more expensive than an Etha. i'm also shocked to hear that the barrel doesnt seem to be well made...of course we all expect it to be a bigger bore than most players are looking for, but i would really think that they would make the effort to provide a nice, well-honed barrel considering the market theyre trying to move into.

The one thing I am rather curious about is the durability of the selector switch. Does it feel....weak? As in, if you were to dive wrong and land on the switch would it snap, kind of weak? Or does it feel durable?

Overall, the entire marker feels very Tippmann. Even the selector switch is durable and very positive when you switch modes.

Tippmann has NEVER done anything with the barrel other than having a open tube that you can send a paintball down. since players change the barrel anyway, Tippmann(the new or the old) would never put in any money to have something decent if the players were going to change it anyway. to me, that is an upgrade. everyone has their favorites, so who cares? throw on a Lapco, or a UL, or a DW or whatever and don't complain. ask how many people with the Empire Sniper use the kit or a different barrel? i would say half. so why put on something that a player will only change anyway?

anyway, i would like to get the gun in my hands. i like the idea behind the gun, but feel is still the most important thing.

nice review. have you delubed the grease, and maybe switch in a lighter/thinner grease? i'm thinking that the problem with the regs could be that. would like to see what the reg numbers would be like with a case or two through the gun.

I beleive the trigger has a return spring, something about complying with a safety standard, one of our guys who ahdled the prototypes as well says simmply remove the springa nd the trigger is much lighter.

This is also highlighted in this review vid from Hustle, skip to 11:35 and the show where they removed the spring.

That's what I thought too...

I also have been watching this because I'm a huge drop forward fan.
