A few thoughts on Tonsixer Anodizing

For those of you not familiar with them: The Tonsixers Pump Faction is located in British Columbia Canada. They do anno and some machining. They have a thread in the dealer section. Examples of their work can be found on their facebook page (Tonsixers Pump Faction)

I contacted 2slow4me about getting my Etek re-annoed. A few thoughts.

Communication. Excellent
My initial price quote was relpied to in a couple of hours, with answers to all my questions.
My parts arrived in BC on monday. That night I had a PM saying everthing arrived.
Tuesday I had a PM saying the parts were striped
Wednesday I had a picture of Don polishing my parts
Thrusday I had a picture of the completed gun for me to drool over.
It is nice to be informed of what progress has been made so I don't have to wonder or chase him down.

Speed of service. Awesome
I told Don I needed a quick turn around and he said he could accomodate that. He recieved my parts Monday and had them in the mail to me that Friday. To put that in context I shipped in expidited posage via Canada Post. CP had my parts longer than the Tonsixers did. Awesome! My guess is that is not normal. Spring is the playing season, less people are getting things anno'ed. I doubt a 5 day turn around would be easy to do in the winter months.

Quality of work. Excellent
The polishing is perfect. I couldn't find any spots that were missed. I am not an expert but I don't see any flaws. The pattern applied by Don is what I described. I am happy.

Cost Reasonable
My Etek 3 LT had 11 parts in a dust finish. I dissassembled it and Don took it from dull to flashy. The pattern is silver splash with gloss black and purple splatter. The price was $210, that included a rush turn around and return (expidited) shipping across the country. The rush turnaround was a no extra charge.

My only complaints are:
1. I can't seem to take a decent picture
2. The guy that tried to buy it from me while we were under fire at canadian carnage.
3. My CCM S6 is looking kind of boring to me these days. I wonder if Don could.....

I had the Slime5 done by Don. First go at it had less than great results, so he redid it for me, and covered shipping back to CCM (I was having them laser the body). The price was somewhat steep, but the final product was very highly polished, and communication was pretty good as well. I plan on using them again for another project once I finish it.

Tonsixers just did my Twister for me. Pictures really do not do the work justice.

My only complaint is that communication is a little slow but given the time of year and how busy they seem to be I think that can be overlooked especially when you get results like this.
