Okay, guys...field test time!!!

First of all, as promised...here's the [not topless] shooting video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEDA7c8iRHc

...and a couple of in-action pictures:

I played for about 4 hours today, and went through about 700 balls. I was using Valken Fate with a matched Freak back and running a Proto Primo. Some of my impressions after actually getting to play with it:

1) Run an electronic hopper. I outshot the Primo constantly. I'd recommend something cheap and not too crazy fast, since you don't need a high-BPS super loader to keep up with it. A Revy or a 9v Fasta would be perfect.
2) Even though I kept outshooting my loader, I never chopped or broke a single ball. Most of the time I outshot the ball stack and it just dry fired until I gave it a little shake, but there were a handful of times that I heard the anti-chop chuff kick in. So it's not just hype...the low-impact bolt really does work, and work well.
3) The number one comment I kept getting all day was amazement at how quiet it is. It's decently quiet stock, but slap a Fibur barrel on it and it becomes a whisper.
4) I didn't keep real careful track of efficiency numbers, but my tank was only filled to 4k psi and after the 700 rounds I still have about 2200 left.
5) Velocity was very consistent. Out of the box, it was shooting about 250ish. A quick adjustment on the HPR and it shot 276, 272, 273, 271, 276 over the chrono.

Overall, I am even more impressed with it now than when I brought it home Thursday. Of all the semis I've ever owned or fired, this is by far my favorite one. If you check it out, you won't be disappointed.

There was talk earlier in the thread about whether or not something could be affixed to the top of the trigger bar to close the gap between it and the 3-way to shorten the trigger pull even more. I've confirmed that the gap is still there even when the marker is aired up (see below), so it DOES look like that would be a doable mod if you so chose.

OH! I almost forgot!

Totally unrelated to the thread, but lookie what else I got to mess around with! Jelly?

(I still maintain the opinion I had before; it's cool...but not $1,300 worth of cool.)

Sitting here messing with it just now, I'm finally managed to chuff it. But you have to actually try to do it. If you fully pull the trigger, and then VEEEEERY slowly release it, you can find a point where it'll hiss and start giving the pseudo-full auto burp effect from not being fully reset. When actually firing, though, I never came anywhere close.

How efficient was it? Per pod wise?

I was playing hopperball and topping off the hopper between games, so I have no idea per pod.

68/4500; I've never been one to really care much about efficiency (since all the fields I play at are all-day-air), so I honestly have no idea what's considered "good".

I was just messing around dry firing while watching tv, and I took the trigger return spring out. The trigger is VERY light now, and it still returns very positively. I recommend removing it.
