I have a couple of SP firebolts laying around. Couldn't we just get a second oring groove machined? We have some very talented machinist here on MCB.

Doesn't look like it flows nearly as well as the others. Those notches that are half way up don't go through to the inside of the bolt, which will be a major reduction in flow. Probably could be modified though. I just bought one, so we'll find out.

This is it. I don't think I'm using the spring. I'll have to check. I want to say I paid $5 each from a member here, or they were free with a purchase. I can't remember. If I find the other, I'll send it to you for testing.

Later,

Here's a weird one - Smart Parts/GoG in the UK are apparently selling a Firebolt with two tail o-rings? I've emailed them to check if the picture and description are accurate, but no response as yet.

Just got done modding this one. Used a 17/64 bit to extend the center hole; and used a Dremel to widen the "windows" and also help (hopefully) the flow through the stock holes.

DO NOT TRY TO REPLICATE!!! IT LEAKS LIKE NOONE'S BUISNESS!!!

Nice find gadget...

"At half the weight of the stock bolt, the Firebolt cycles faster and produces less kick, creating a more accurate shot. Also includes extra rear o'ring for increase in efficiency - some say as much as 20%"

Too bad it's still ~$50.

^Yeah, I am having a little trouble justifying 1/3 the price of the marker to improve efficiency by 15-20%.

Let me ask here, I need to know if I F'd this bolt up. In the first pic you can see how I extended the 8 small ports. Not thinking about it, the troughs I cut into the bolt extend beyond the donut. Will this cause a leak now that they are beyond the donut?
