Proto Axis Pro aka paintball's most underrated mask

I've had Flex's, i4's, profits, and most recently e-flex's...and i still always come back to my good old reliable Axis Pro mask. Here's a little review with the reasons why.

I always thought the Axis Pro was the same as the I3?

Nah, there are plenty of differences. The soft ears on the Axis come way down along the jawline, for instance; only the very front is "hard."

Because of that, the venting is different as well. It is a nice, comfy mask with good coverage. As Reloadro says, underrated. Overshadowed by the i4, E-Flex, and E-vent.

Is the Axis the same weight as the Switch line? These masks be heavy, something that took a while for me to get used to. That and no replacement foam.

Nice vid, thanks - spookily I'd subscribed to your channel on Youtube yesterday after watching a couple of vids about the TiPX and CQB magfed marker.

Only downside I can see with the Axis Pro is lack of a visor.

The Switch has a visor. You loose the jawline adjustability; but that may not be a big deal for your face. Same lens system, so the same thermal panes will work. I have the Switch, and honestly don't see a need in changing until the foams breaks down. They are cheap to boot.

Thanks for subscribing! And thanks you guys for watching.

The switch mask also loses the soft ears too, right?, but I would agree that with thermal lens options and the same lens change system, it's also an amazing mask for the price.

The only mask that fits my big face properly. Ive wore them or the switch before that for 8 years. I have accumulated a lot of lenses etc. so I wont be changing anytime soon.

I have fitted an e-vents forehead shield on mine, cause I kept getting shot on the forehead all the time. The foam on both of mine are starting to wear out, should get some old switches for parts. The switch has tougher foam, which lasts forever.

The switch is much taller on the chin, it touches the tank in my standard playing
