Just found this thread. Glad to see someone likes my products !

A minor correction on the ID they should be 1.500

Also some additional info.

Weight is 77 grams
ID orings are size 020
OD orings are size 218

Quick tip if your having trouble with the orings before using oil try some slightly soapy water. It will give you the lubrication you need to get the oring on and when it dries the oring will stay where you put it. PS this is how I put the caps onto the CF body.

Very interesting. Is there any possibility of having one made in smooth black? I.e., not carbon fiber? Imho, more of a "sterile" military look, and it would match my rifles better...

You could always wrap it or paint it. A bit of sanding should give you a nice surface to paint.

Tjd could probably answer this one better, but if I recall he buys the carbon tubing in batches. I'm sure there's other materials he can use, but he'd have enough interest to make a batch would be my guess.

the surface is already sanded so you should just need to degrease paint.

As far as other materials yes and no. I have not found any materials that can have the same combination of light weight and strength as CF allows. If I was going to do another type of material my next best bet would be aluminum followed closely by brass. Either one of these materials would be much heavier than CF.

yeah, i would also be interested in hearing how it sounds. like compare the stock barrel, deadlywind, then deadlywind with cover. the deadlywind by itself is supposed to be pretty quiet by itself.

I used it on my ego yesterday. Very impressed. I'll try to get a shooting video up today.

I took a shooting video with my ego, the problem is the ego make too much mechanical noise and you can't tell much of a difference between the barrels. I have acquired a16in deadlywind, so I will make a new video with my s6 or dlg this weekend. Thanks for your patience guys!
