JT Spectra Pro Shield

Video first, text below:

So, the JT Spectra Pro Shield, kind of a classic.

Pros:
-Good lens - Wide field of view, thermal, inexpensive, readily available.
-Interchangeable parts - It's a JT based around Spectra frames, so if you don't like the ears or bottoms, swap 'em out, no problem.
-Excellent ear protection - Good coverage for the top and bottom of the ears, unlike masks with small ears that leave parts exposed.
-Comfy foam - Somewhat subjective, but the JT foam is nice.
-All plastic construction - No rubber parts on the bottoms, no soft ears. Some people like this, some don't.
-Generally inexpensive, considering the features.
-Comes with a visor.

Cons
-Lens change - The infamous JT tabs. Takes forever if you aren't used to it.
-Jawline coverage - The bottoms are somewhat short, leaving the chin and jawline relatively exposed, especially considering the size of the mask.
-The size - This thing is WIDE. It sticks out several inches past my (admittedly narrow) face on either side. There are other masks available that offer comparable coverage in a much tighter package.
-All plastic construction - No rubber parts on the bottoms, no soft ears. Some people like this, some don't.

Overall, my impression is that this is a decent entry/midrange mask, bolstered by the quality of the lens and the availability of parts to replace/swap.

Agreed. It's a good mask. I have one myself and use it as a loaner/backup to my Axis Pro.
