I like em both, but IMO the Profilers are better for the woods then the Vents. The Vents are equally great for everything else, escpecially speedball cause they're so barely there and tend to stay in place better.

I guess. I seemed to remember it being somewhere more near the center, but that may have been the far edges of my peripheral vision being registered in my brain as "WTF?!"

The JT Proteus still does "low profile" way better than these newer masks. Wearing one of those is pretty amazing.

The selling point of these newer masks isnt really to have a low profile..just kinda built into it.

bah whah?

I havent found a better made mask for PAINTBALL... not "woodsball" or "speedball"

The y perform and protect your head in the same way no matter where you use them.

OK, maybe not underwater, but then your gonna have a few different equipment issues.

I personally like very venatlated masks overall, and the Avatar is doing it for me.

I have to say that people should try out the Vents and the profiler at the shop before they commit. They both have the quick change lense, so I will never go back to any other mask. For me, I did not like the appearance of the Profilers so much that it was not an option (the shape of the lense and the mask).

The reason I threw this in is because many of the people that had a Profiler and a Vents say that the Vents had worse ventilation. Of course, this will be different for different people.

I dont think it's about the amount of ventilation, its where the ventilation is.

My old JT's had plenty of ventilation, and a nice bit right up into the goggle area, which caused fogging.

But do try them on first... nothing is suckier than buying an $80 pair of uncomfortable goggles. (I also say try on teh different vents series, they all have a different feel to them)
