Xtra paintballs

Well I got my batch of factory direct Xtra paintballs today.
Pros.
They are very nice looking balls. Round, uniform, small seams. They break easily on target and pass the bounce test nicely. Fill is smooth and not oily like the new wally world crap.
Shipped quickly.

Now the cons.
I ordered 2 200rd bags.
There was no packing material whatsoever in the box.
there was room for it.
both bags were split. I'm assuming this is because they were extremly thin plastic,(think sandwich bag thin) and they probably burst at altitude coming through the mountains.
There were 4 broken in one bag and 2 in the other. Not a big deal for these small bags, but a case would mean a lot more cleaning.

Pro/Con
the paint was LARGE. One bag was .693 and the other was .696ish (it was tight in my .695 freak sleeve)

I do have a couple of old school barrels that will LOVE this stuff.

I sent them a message about the packing (just to help them for future sales), I'll see what they say. Either they'll tell me to blow it out my @$$ or thank me for the concern.

The balls themselves, look very good for the money.
I might have found an alternative to high priced corporate balls.
(if they get the packaging right)

YAYY!!! for the little guy.

I don't recall mentioning trades, especially not for smart Farts. Thanks though.

Interesting. I wonder if they will get smaller with time? Like the stuff you have is so fresh it hasnt even settled down?

Its nice they are large for the old guys, but ive been gearing up for micro paint, il practically be bummed if it starts going the other way! :P

Looks like we can pull out the old PPS brass, and CCI stock barrels, and Lapco pumpers too

Cant wait to see some MORE reviews of this stuff. Hopefully the size doesnt vary too much.

What color did you buy?

I got 200 Cherry bombs, yellow fill, reddish orange shell.
And 200 Gold shell, creamy orange fill.

Ok, I got a response about the packing and larger size.
They've already stopped using those thin bags (I wasn't the only person that had something to say about them).
They also said they're keeping a tighter watch on the ball size. They assured me that they are keeping to .680.

I'm going to order some more and see.

Awesome. I VERY much want this endeavor of theirs to be a success. Id pay 200 dollars a case for really really good paint. I dont shoot much, and I have a better time if the few balls i do shoot, fly strait.

But if its 44 shipped for a case for pretty good stuff, thats okay too. I will probably buy a bag of the green stuff.

Thanks for the review. I think I started a thread asking about this very paint.

Strange, it costs me 1 more dollar to pick up, then to get it delivered.

I ordered a few cases to try. They seemed open to any suggestions when I talked to them on the phone. I like to see a small co. do well. I will post up something when mine show up. See if they followed some different packing instruction.

They are definitely geared to the small buyer. I asked about 1/2 and full pallet prices and got a $300 shipping quote.

I have an email in to them to see about cost to ship to Canada. I think I might buy 1/4 or a full case depending, just to test it out. I am thinking the cost to ship to Canada might negate any benefit to buying these though.

How long did it take for the paint to arrive after ordering? I saw on their website where they only ship on Wednesdays via FedEx. Unfortunately I ordered my case the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, so it might be here Monday. I hope.

Tug, I thought that they had on their website something about 100 cases for $2500, including shipping, but maybe I imagined that as I can't find it now. However, even if that's not including shipping, $2800 for 100 cases shipped is STILL cheaper per case than the $29/case price that doesn't include shipping.
