Thumbs up Camel Back Omega ACU Review

I got the Omega ACU Camel back that holds 3 Quarts of water.

Compaired to other brands of hydration devices this was deffinety worth the 50$ I paid for it new at the PX. As said before it holds 3 quarts of water in a bacteria resistant resivoir, and can keep you going for three hours at a time before having to fill it again.

The ACU pattern matched the rest of my uniform perfectly and came in handy when doing an FTX, paintballing, or just plain working outside. The straps are like backpack straps and have a chest strap to keep it from moving aroudn on you. There are also D rings on it to mount things to it, or mount it to things. For instance I mounted it to my LBV (Load bearing Device) at AIT this summer and didn't have any problems with it under IBA's with or without plates in.

This Camel back gets my thumbs up!

I have never had the 2 Liter but I can deffinetly say that there really isn't much weight there at all when you have it cinched down to keep it from moving.

I have this same camel back omega. Got it off ebay. I really like it but I wish they would put a little more padding on the straps.
Just a warning though, don't run 18 miles with this without wearing a shirt.

Cool, thanks for the review. I have been looking at a Camel Bak for a while now, but the ones I have seen only hold a liter or two of water, and I drink a lot of water. It wont last me more then an hour and a half, but I wont have to stop working for that 1.5 hours .

H2O

He forgot the most important part of the review as I too own the same unit.
The hose on the new camel backs actually disconnet at all joints so no more black stuff near the bladder elbow. Very easy to clean best CB yet.

Hooah!

I knew that they came apart at the mouthpiece section but what do YOU know. . .

there is a joint where the hose connects into the bladder, learn something every day!
