Horizon Paintball: A quick Review.

So, Horizon Paintball.

This business is based in British Columbia, Canada dealing in high end pump equipment and other pump-related gear and is run by our very own Phantom_Power.

Now, i contacted Phantom_Power about three weeks ago for an order quote and was responded to extremely promptly with a full quote including shipping in a nice PDF formated 'bill'. Less than two weeks ago i sent him the payment for the goods and my order was picked and shipped the very next day.

Now, he's on the west coast, i'm in Southern Ontario, Canada, the order took about 8 business days to arrive. I went to the front door thismorning and almost kicked a box left there by tha Canada Post guy. It was heavy.

so, like a little kid, i grabbed it, ran upstairs and tore the sucker open. It was packed extremely well and necessitated going to the kitchen to get a bag for the packing peanuts

so, i start unpacking peanuts and the first thing i run into is a bagged Sportshot hopper(totally immaculate, like it just left the factory), one item down, several more to go. feeling kinda like an archaeologist, i continue removing peanuts and come upon the 10 round tubes i ordered, these come pre-assembled with speedcaps for $0.40 CAD a piece, a real steal for canadian paintballers who don't want to deal with customs issues, especially considering that once you factor in duties, taxes and additional shipping, you'd be hard pressed to find them cheaper from the states

Now I get to the good stuff; 100 12g CO2 cartidges in two 50 count boxes.

these are not the Crossman type, they are ever so slightly thinner and have a metallic yellow finish to them (some sort of rustproofing as i remember) I can't wait and plug one into my Tib 8 and start firing.

i tested 3 out of the 100 so far, all filled propperly with a definite 12g of CO2 in each, i got 26 shots out of the Tib 8, including ejecting after every 8 shots, shooting at 1 second intervals, and what i would guess is 35 'useable' shots out of the lever action traccer before i could hear the 12g start to peter out, considering neither were loaded or shooting paint, i would assume slightly higher values for the Traccer and about the same ammoung for the Tib 8.

So, as it stands, Horizon Paintball is DEFINITELY my place to buy pump related goods from now on, and unless i, by some miracle, find a better price on 12g co2 locally (and hell still hasn't frozen over...), will be the only place i buy my 12g's from now on.

I agree, I've dealt with Horizon both with Reiner (Previous owner) and Marc (Phantom Power) and have always had prompt service. From what I've seen, they're the only paintball shop in Canada that has any selection of pump gear and their prices are excellent.

They can also order directly from CCM and CCI very quickly and save the hassle of duty/customs. Last year I got my T-stock (in blue, not a stocked item) within 2 weeks of ordering.

I'm eagerly awaiting my parts to come in from CCM and then I'll have a nice box of new toys as well

A+ from me too. I've bought from them a couple of times and been happy every time.

Looking for all Canadians on MCB, building a list by province. PM me to be added to the list.

I also use those yellow-ish 12g's. They're great. Don't know who makes 'em, but they're quality.

Great service, great products. I have no idea who makes those 12grams, but they're top notch.

Just got an order of 50 12ies and 50 cigar tubes w/speed caps. Arrived in a week (I actually thought it was one of the other packages I was expecting, lol). Great service and great pricing!

Having dealt with both Reiner and Marc, I'd have to say that I've now found my new supplier for 12ies. I look forward to future transactions.

As they say in Sweden, "Muchas Gracias!"
