| What I thought was funny was all the little kids playing with/collecting paintballs they found on the beach. One kid had a huge ziplock bag full. Made me wonder if it would show up on ebay. 2 girls were next to the chronic field made a volcano with multi-colored lava made from paintfill squeezed out of collected paintballs. |

| I LOVED THE PUMP GAMES! The actual event was impressive, in fact the best HB event in the last three years in my opinion. Great vendor turnout, lot's of spectators and hype. The open class event was the same old thing, and games got boring to watch really quick. The pump games were all fun to watch, and the brotherhood between the pumpers was a wonderful change from the normal obnoxious open class teams. I was dissapointed that the pump event was treated like that uncle in your family that everyone ignores. I felt the Kristins pump staff did the best they could with what they were given by the NPPL mucky mucks. The games were flat out FUN, and when my Turtles were beat, I could accept it and say 'good job' to the other team and really mean it. Kudos to Blowfish, Pumpenstien and Chikun Nuggetz, who all beat us easily in the semis. Hope to play you again someday! Thanks for the good games. Another note: What was with all the refs leaving before the start of the semis? And the air station turning off? No scoreboard (that I could find during the event). Talk about being the red headed stepchild... I think trying to hold a pump event at each NPPL is a bad idea. The best pump teams in the world are in the west. I cannot see any reason or incentive for them to travel across the country, spend a ton of money, win minimal prizes and take time away from work/school/family, when there is an OSC series allready in existence in southern California. Granted, you would draw some local teams to those NPPL events, but just not the best. I may be wrong, but that's what I see. I think a better idea would be to hold a final Pump/NPPL event in San Diego at the end of the year. I know the teams would go to this. Two big pump events. Whatever, I'm just rambling. On a final thought, I was offended by the three players I personally saw cheat while I was watching games, you know who you are. You ruin the game I have made into my life. You have not earned my respect by winning that way, only my contempt. Go play the open class if you need to do that... |

| Dale, Awesome to meet you again in HB. I think your comments about the OSC in the NPPL are right on - Pumpenstein is having VERY similar thoughts. I would have to correct one small thing in your post however - MOST of the good pump teams are in the West. You cannot forget teams like Third Eye Vision, Total Grief, and - well.... us. As far as cheating - I only wiped THREE hits... and it was only when Carter shot me. I mean - you don't think I am coming out when HE shoots me do you? I called that Carter hits don't count!
