Yeah I want to know more about this broken lens, I took no hits directly to the lens, my buddy did and his mask was fine. I'm eagerly awaiting more info on that test. You could say my eyesight has a vested interest in it.

I'll give him a call today then report back to it. Like I had said though, I'm not sure how he tested it, I just know that his lens was broken after testing and he was not happy. He's crazy enough to be the type of guy who would have someone belt him in the head with a huge fish to see if it actually can withstand a flish slap to the face at 50 miles too though. I will definitely get back to you guys though. Not trying to cause a scare, i'm just reporting on what I heard from him. You'll hear back from me by tonight.

Working on my Marks-alot now, Going for a red sox/ stars are stripes theme. gonna look awesome. As for the mask itself it is a hard plastic and therefore you probably wont get any bounces on this mask. overall though a good construction and cant wait to have it finished. Look for my mask on the Save Phace website soon as one of their demo masks! )

I shot a guy dead center of the forehead guard and he said it almost knocked him over....I doubt you'll see a paintball bounce off one of these.

Ok, so I found out what happened with my friends mask. Apparently, he was testing his mask to see how it did with shots from different distances. He was taking pot shots at it from his a-5 and actually did get a few bounces and so apparently kept shooting at it which cracked one of the clips off of the side from the hits as well as cracked the lens all along the top and side edge, a "jagged crack" around where the mask and lens touch up. I don't know how many shots in total he fired at it, but that's what I've heard as of now. He's not very happy about it.

I wouldn't be, either. He should contact the company ASAP. I've seen a thread on PBN where a Vforce lense took a .40 hit, so a lense cracking after being hit with some balls is somewhat disturbing. Unless it was a full case of paint.

What kind of paint was this? Age? Brand? Storage history? Paint can be as hard as marbles depending on some of those factors so multiple shots would be the same as shooting it with multiple marbles. Did he have his gun chronographed? If these maskes passed certification testing I'd think his failure had some extenuating circumstances.

I wasn't disagreeing, just supporting what you had said. Where did I say you were wrong?
