APG 2006 Buyers Guide

I recomend picking one up. Its not as detailed as I had hoped when I saw it on the shelf, but its worth having none the less. What I find it is lacking the most is a pro/con of "Methods of Operation". Besides that its okay. Great to have if you're just geting into the sport, or just a big GW.

2006 Buyers Guide.. Interesting... not a bad idea. I'm glad they're doing that. About how many guns did they cover in the article? I didn't get that issue yet in the mail. Will keep an eye out for it.

From what I saw of it, it lacks a good deal of products which are available. It isn’t a “bad” buyers’ guide but I would not want folks to think it covers everything, or even close to it. I still suggest folks look online and ask around to those who know…

It would be nice to see someone do a comprehensive guide with a wide range of products from ALL sizes of companies, not just the big ones.

Was it more focused on speedball, or did it cover equipment for other areas of play equally? I've found that most of the magazines that the borders' carry around me lean toward the tourney side of things.

Agreed... but we won't get THAT from APG.

The guide covered Semis (both mechanical and electric) and a few pumps. True it is lacking a good number of markers/gear. It covers mainly speedball and milism, thats about it. It is a good start, and I would pick one up if you saw one, just to have it for future reference. The sad part is that half of it is adds. Again it was a good start.

That's what I don't like about it, every other page is an add for something.... sometimes its just the only magizine I can get my hands on, so I grab one.

That is the Ad buyers guide APG has no subjectivity at all it is all about who signed over marketing money to be in the guide.

There's no replacing doing you own footwork. I have to shoot everything I even consider buying in a game before I feel comfortable purchasing it. It helps to have a list to reference though, and things like this come in handy for purposes like that, even if they are mostly ads.
